My First Blog

Week #1 Blogs
This week, create a blog. If you already have done this in a previous course or job or just for fun, create a new one with the name that I can use to access your blog for this course. We'll use the free service blogspot.com, and you will need:
1.
A blogspot.com account. Access http://blogspot.com. If you have a gmail account, enter that on the right hand side. If you do not have one, you may create one by following the instructions that begin with, "Create a blog. It's free." and followed by a button, "Get started." Click the button.

2. When you reach the location for naming your blog, use the convention that I can follow to access your blog. This way, we all have the same common blog name for this course. Use Tech515firstnamelastinitialSp12, where first name is your first name and last initial is your last initial, so mine would look like Tech515DavidESp12 and the system will add the suffice, .blogspot.com

3. Go ahead and select a template for your blog.
I recommend the "Simple" template, but you can change it at any time. See my blog for an example Tech515DavidESp12.blogspot.com

4. Enter your first blog. It should outline what you are hoping to learn in this course, your technology expertise level (in your opinion), what grade you teach or hope to teach, how long you've been teaching or how long until you graduate, and something interesting about you that we might not already know.

5. Send me an email, david.erickson@umontana.edu when your blog is ready to view, and I can add to the syllabi from your suggestions on what to learn this term.

Hope this is a good start.
